An Honest Look at Society6 Art Prints vs Handmade Oil Art: Custom Sizing Flexibility for High Ceilings
Shopping for custom oil paintings online can feel a little confusing with so many studios, marketplaces, and print shops competing for your attention. If you are comparing platforms to decide where to invest your wall decor budget, understanding how each studio handles canvas materials, artist craftsmanship, and shipping logistics makes all the difference.
Many popular online portrait services operate primarily as automated digital printers or use thin synthetic canvas coated with a quick gel topcoat. While that approach allows for speedy mass production, it lacks the tactile depth, rich mineral pigments, and organic texture of authentic oil on Belgian linen. At Handmade Oil Art, every canvas is painted entirely by hand, brushstroke by brushstroke, by master artists who specialize in timeless fine art techniques.
