Framing & Size Guide - 7 finishes & 12 sizes
Framing and Sizing Guide
A comprehensive architectural guide to our seven handcrafted framing finishes, twelve standard dimensions, and interior proportion principles.
I. The Seven Signature Presentation Styles
Every painting in our gallery is 100 percent hand painted by master artists using heavy oil pigments on heavyweight Belgian linen. To ensure seamless harmony with your interior architecture, we provide seven curated presentation finishes. All framed and stretched options arrive completely ready to hang with professional gallery hardware pre installed.
Rolled Canvas
The finished oil painting is fully cured, sealed with protective archival varnish, and carefully rolled with acid free tissue paper inside an impact resistant shipping tube.
Frameless Stretched Canvas
Expertly hand stretched over 1.5 inch deep kiln dried solid pine stretcher bars. The painting seamlessly extends across the edges for a clean, continuous gallery wrap profile.
Matte Black Floating Frame
Engineered from solid anodized aluminum with a non reflective satin matte black finish. Surrounds the canvas with an elegant 3/8 inch floating shadow gap.
Champagne Silver Floating Frame
Precision milled aircraft grade aluminum featuring a subtle brushed champagne silver finish. Distinctly warmer than industrial chrome and cooler than yellow gold.
Luxury Gold Floating Frame
Handcrafted aluminum alloy with a warm, brushed 24k satin gold sheen. Imparts refined luxury without harsh or yellow brass tones.
Gallery White Floating Frame
Handcrafted from solid hardwood finished with a multi layer studio matte white lacquer, providing crisp framing lines and airy elegance.
Natural White Oak Floating Frame
Constructed from 100 percent solid American White Oak featuring authentic natural grain patterns, sealed with a clear protective matte finish.

III. Professional Interior Placement Rules
Proper art placement relies on proven architectural proportions. Adhering to these principles ensures that your original oil painting looks balanced, grounded, and intentionally curated.
The Two Thirds Furniture Ratio
When installing artwork above a sofa, console credenza, bed, or fireplace mantel, the total width of the artwork should span approximately 60 to 75 percent of the furniture width below. This grounds the artwork within the space and prevents it from appearing unmoored.
The 57 Inch Eye Level Standard
In fine art galleries and museums worldwide, single artworks are hung so that the vertical center of the canvas sits 57 to 60 inches above the finished floor. When mounting above furniture, maintain 6 to 8 inches of breathing space between the furniture top and frame bottom.
Multi Panel Spacing
When curating diptychs or triptychs, position adjacent canvas panels 2 to 3 inches apart. Calculate the combined span of all canvases plus the interstitial gaps as a single unified footprint when applying the two thirds furniture proportion.
IV. Archival Packaging and Transit Protocol
Original fine art requires uncompromising protection during courier transit. Every framed artwork prepared in our studio adheres to a strict multi stage packaging standard:
1. Archival Surface Seal
The cured oil surface is wrapped in acid free conservation glassine paper, protecting delicate pigments and glazes from dust and humidity changes.
2. High Density Corner Caps
Rigid, shock absorbing corner protectors are secured to all four frame corners to prevent impact during handling.
3. Reinforced Timber Casing
Enclosed in a custom built solid plywood crate with 2 inch high density foam cushioning on all faces, completely isolating the canvas from transit stress.
Studio Delivery Guarantee: In the rare event that an artwork suffers damage during transit, our atelier will repaint and dispatch a replacement piece free of charge.
