Return and Refund Policy
Our commitment to authentic craftsmanship, pre shipment photo approvals, transparent order cancellation rules, and 100 percent damage protection.
I. 100 Percent Hand Painted Artisan Guarantee
At Handmade Oil Art, every piece is an authentic oil painting created individually by hand on linen canvas. Because each artwork is made to order with dedicated artist hours and bespoke materials, our return and refund policy is structured to be transparent, supportive, and fair for our collectors.
II. Order Cancellation Policy
Within 24 Hours of Purchase
You may cancel your order for a 100 percent full refund with zero cancellation fees if requested within 24 hours of placing your order.
During Active Production
Once our atelier has prepared custom stretcher frames, allocated linen, and commenced painting, cancellations prior to dispatch are subject to a 20 percent materials and labor fee.
After Dispatch
Once your wooden crate is collected by FedEx or DHL, the shipment cannot be intercepted or canceled while in transit.
III. Pre Shipment Photo Approval Process
To ensure complete confidence in your artwork before it ships, we email high resolution studio photographs of your exact finished painting prior to dispatch.
You have five business days to review the photos and request any subtle color adjustments, tonal refinements, or detail modifications. Our master artist will refine the canvas until you are completely satisfied before applying the final protective varnish and custom framing.
IV. Standard Catalog Returns
30 Day Return Window
If you are not completely satisfied with your standard catalog painting after delivery, contact us at hello@handmadeoilart.com within 30 calendar days of receipt.
Original Condition
The artwork must be returned in its original condition, securely repackaged in its original wooden crate and protective foam casing.
Return Freight and Processing
For preference based returns, return courier freight and a standard 15 percent restocking fee apply. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within five to seven business days after inspection.
V. Custom Commissions and Bespoke Sizing
Paintings commissioned from personal reference photos, custom family portraits, or customized non standard dimensions are unique bespoke creations and are non refundable once approved during pre shipment photo review and shipped.
100 Percent Free Transit Damage Replacement
Every shipment is fully insured. If your artwork arrives damaged from courier transit, please take clear photos of the outer crate and canvas within 48 hours of delivery and email hello@handmadeoilart.com. Our atelier will immediately commission an expedited replacement painting at zero cost to you.
