An Honest Look at Kirklands Home Art vs Handmade Oil Art: Custom Proportions for 8 Foot to 12 Foot Walls
When you are shopping for custom artwork or high impact statement wall decor online, comparing platforms can quickly become overwhelming. Between commercial mass retailers, dropshipped print on demand sites, and custom portrait services, it is difficult to tell what you are actually getting for your investment until the package arrives at your front door.
Most commercial art retailers rely heavily on automated inkjet printing onto thin synthetic canvas, sometimes adding a quick coat of clear polymer gel to mimic brushwork. While that allows them to mass produce thousands of prints daily, it lacks the luminous mineral pigments, subtle textural impasto, and natural warmth of authentic hand painted oil on Belgian linen canvas. At Handmade Oil Art, every canvas is painted entirely by hand by master atelier artists using traditional fine art techniques, delivering museum grade craftsmanship directly to your home without luxury showroom markups.
